20-song retrospective album this Suffolk, England, band. The Potting Sheds were around in the early nineties releasing the "Unsaid" flexi single, the "Second Best" 7" single and the "Goldfish Memory" 12" EP on their own Mad Cat Records. They also appeared on the "Burn it to A Crisp - A Taste of The Norfolk & North Suffolk Indie Scene" compilation. All of their songs on these releases are part of the compilation as well as many demos recorded through the years (including some that were to be released as a mini-album in Japan). The Potting Sheds may be a bit obscure, but after listening their songs you'll fall for them. Brilliant guitars, groovy melodies and elegant horns, The Potting Sheds are a fabulous band from indiepop's heyday who deserve to be rediscovered. And now is the time! Custom digipack, full color booklet and liner notes by the band.

Some Other Day didn't release any records during their time but left two demo tapes with timeless guitar pop songs that are included in this compilation. Obscure but with luminous songs, Some Other Day is a lost band from the C86 period that deserves to be rediscovered. The songs are so strong that you will wonder why you are only hearing them now. Custom digipack, full color booklet and liner notes by BBC DJ Steve Lamacq, once manager of the band.

Aside from these two releases Shine! put out two tape albums, "Shine!" and "Numbrainedeadumbrain", that are very rare. All of the songs (aside from two cover versions) are included in this CD. Retrospective album that includes 21 remastered songs by The Rileys including their long out of print mini-album The World and His Wife. This great band came from the ashes of Are You Mr. Riley and Feverfew and during the early nineties released a bunch of singles as well as appearing on many classic indiepop compilations. With their trademark boy/girl vocals, jangly guitars, The Rileys were a favourite band of mine for a long time, since I first ever heard "Dreamsway" many many years ago. Now it's time for everyone to rediscover them especially as they have reformed for some select shows! The record includes full liner notes by the whole band. 7 unreleased songs. On our classic custom digipack.

Included in this release are all the tracks that appeared in their 3 7"s as well as the Japanese mini-album plus their unreleased 4th single and more. Essential for understanding the wave of indiepop that came after, Indietracks, and even Cloudberry. The Secret History - Johnny Panic
The Secret History release their second LP 'Americans Singing In The Dark,' through an alliance between their own La Kalsa Projects and the indiepop activists at Cloudberry Records. Released ten years after their former incarnation My Favorite's indie epic 'The Happiest Days Of Our Lives,' this new LP follows some of the same end of the century characters from that LP into a new age of crisis; growing up, seeking love, making ends meet in a ghetto of broken promises. At the same time the band defies current trends towards unified atmospherics in pop, choosing instead to forge a kind of post-modern car crash of subculture sounds and currents.
